In 2010 myself and my partner, Julian, were arrested in our home on charges of possession and dealing in Cannabis. We were so indignant at our treatment by the police that we sued the government on charges of enacting unlawful laws. We are full time drug policy activists and we travel both nationally and internationally in order to give a voice to civil society’s concerns around drug policy reform.
In 2013 we established Fields of Green for ALL as a non-profit company to promote the legal regulation of Cannabis in South Africa. As our name indicates, we work to ensure that ALL citizens share the benefits of legally regulated Cannabis. We provide guidance for individuals and communities who have been marginalized by their use, cultivation and trade in Cannabis. Entirely funded by our supporters, we promote active citizenry in order to affect equitable Cannabis regulations going forward.
