The search is on for South Africa’s 2016 pioneer pharmacy professional and pharmacy facility. The 2016 SAPC National Pioneer Pharmacy Awards, sponsored by Aspen Pharmacare, will take place at the 2nd National Pharmacy Conference at the Durban ICC on 22 October 2016
Council is calling on the profession and the public to nominate inspiring pharmacy professionals and pharmacy facilities in South Africa by 1 July 2016 that have accomplished outstanding achievements in the practice of pharmacy or gone beyond the call of duty in serving the members of their communities. The following categories can be nominated

• 4th year Pharmacy Student)
• Post-Basic Pharmacist’s Assistant (PBPA)
• Community Pharmacist
• Public Institutional Pharmacist
• Private Institutional Pharmacist
• Wholesale (Distributor/ Depot) Pharmacist
• Manufacturing (Industry) Pharmacist
• Academic Pharmacist
• Pharmacist (Other)

Prizes for each national winner in their respective professional or facility category includes free full conference registration, accommodation and transport costs. From these winners,the overall winners of the National Pioneer Pharmacy Professional Award and the National Pioneer Pharmacy Facility Award will be selected. The pharmacy awards embody the vision of the SAPC, which is sustainable quality pharmaceutical services for all.
Nominate a pharmacy professional or facility, or both by 1 July 2016 to signal out the outstanding achievements of pharmacy professionals and facilities in South Africa by following the criteria in the Award Information Document.
Every pharmacy professional is called upon to assist to distribute these nomination forms at his/her pharmacy facility in recognizing the outstanding achievements of the pharmacy professional by nominating a pharmacy professional or pharmacy facility in the delivery of quality pharmaceutical services and patient care.
